Well just in case you want to talk with him
Fiat of Sarasota Tim Reeher 941-924-8822 He seems to see the bigger picture and is thinking long term not short sighted as many dealers out there. He spoke with my husband so he will probably not recognize my name. Hope this helps you or anyone else in some way. |
It does for me. I'm in Tampa and my local dealer will "someday" be in Lutz. My coices therefore are Clearwater and Sarasota, so if you've had a good experience in Sarasota that's important to hear. Thanks much!

How many people do we have from Florida here?
I got a call from FIAT a few days ago and a woman told me the same basic information that you all know by now and that my Prima will be delivered to FIAT of Fort Myers which is a few miles North of my house. I had contact with the FIAT manager at this dealer and he seemed to know what he was talking about and was excited to tell me all he knew (which wasn't anything new :P). James S. Prima #425 |

I hope they are not hitting you with excessive dealer fees.
I am picking up in Sarasota even though I am from The Miami Area Local dealer wanted $600 fees There is one dealer down here that has a $900.00 Fee?!! The people in Egypt overthrew a 40 year regime by acting together. We cant even get rid of excessive dealer fees! I am doing my part |

Finally the call arrives...PE #366 is totally official now, Grigio with sunroof. The closest dealer to me now is half the distance from my house to the LA Motor Village Dealer. The closest up and running dealer here in San Diego is Carlsbad, Car Country Carlsbad, Bob Baker Fiat! YES!
The Fiat lady told me, Bob Baker Fiat should contact me in about 10 days or so to finalize the deal. I'm so excited. And of course the due date is mid March. Wow, amazing what a phone call will do to you on a gloomy day like today. Joel |

Finally I'm back in the club! Got my call today at home and returned the message when I got home from work. As expected, by delivering dealer is Fiat of Olathe (in Kansas City over 200 miles away). The lady also listed the "originating" dealer as Fiat of Shreveport, but when I asked what that means she was clueless... which unfortunately was the overall tone of the entire conversation after that. I asked about home delivery, she didn't know... I asked about a delivery timeframe, she didn't know... I asked next steps, she didn't know. She even admitted she was just reading off a spreadsheet... didn't even confirm the color or options of my car! Totally worthless beyond giving me the dealership.
Hopefully the dealer knows more! I left a voicemail and sent him an email tonight. Will see! |
The Same thing with me, originating Dealer Fiat of Torrance which has no contact number and then a Finishing Dealer, Fiat of N. Phoenix. That still puts me about 800 miles away from Colorado? I don't even have a number to call for Fiat of Torrance? I suggested Fiat of Salt Lake City to the operator and he said,"that a good idea!" Wow! I fell really special! Can I just go to the depot in Texas somewhere and get my own damn car. Dealing with these idiots is getting old!

Vlad - Same thing happened to me in terms of Olathe and Shreveport - except I am from Kansas City 20 minutes from Olathe. I think - and hope they have it straight now.

The woman I talked with sounded really confident on the phone handling everything. She put me on hold for the "Bezel Check", came back and told me. HOWEVER, I'm waiting for confirmation on it from someone from Fiat;) At this moment, I have no idea!

I'm still confused John... Do you know what "originating" dealer means? Is that simply the dealership where Fiat sends the cars and then ships them on to Olathe? Or is that the dealership we technically have to buy the car from (so Shreveport would set the price and do the paperwork)? |
Those are good questions. All I know is that I was told that at the time our cars were designated for delivery, Olathe was not yet authorized to deliver. Although the cars will now be shipped to Olathe, I am supposed to get a verification call next week from...Shreveport to tell me when the car will arrive. As far as which dealers charges will apply to us, who knows.

Hey Vlad, do you have Jeff's email address?

I think they just repeat the consensus of whoever is sitting near them at the moment. They are guessing. The one I spoke to a few weeks ago was just as certain that it was not the dash. I don't think she had a clue either, but that's my point. I say the graphite bezel will be the band around the speedo, like on the Pop where it is white. I hope.

Olathe, KS would be closer than Phoenix. (Well, Salt Lake would be closer yet, but I don't think they're open). I know that drive from KC to Denver is, well, uninspiring (I have done it several times--I used to live in Littleton), but still a couple 100 miles closer than Phoenix. Even El Paso is a little closer than Phoenix. |

I do... sent Jeff an email last night as well as leaving him a voicemail. No reponse yet, but hoping to hear back today. I've been emailing another KC areas Prima owner and he said the demo is in and he test drove it earlier this week. Also indicated Jeff was suppose to get the delivery estimates yesterday. Hoping that is true! |
