Hi there 5*(10)^2,
Little Italy would be a perfect place to go for a weekend drive. And perhaps this weekend will be a good time with your new PE. Let me know, perhaps we can meet up at one of the coffee shops in the area. Joel |
PaulL...Is my Prima still in Santa Rosa??
Thanks Gavin 137 still not sure where my prima is heading.... |
Yeah, it's still sitting there. But the last time this has been updated was on 2/28.

Thanks...Jim actually drove out and saw them this weekend...was hoping they had started the next part of their travels as I am not 100% sure where it is going...
Was El Paso, then Memphis, now supposedly Austin...won't really be sure till it "lands" somewhere Santa Rosa would be great...if I could get it from there....closest of all the locations it has been listed as going to....well Albuquerque would be perfect (the future studio is less than 2.5 miles from my house), but they, sadly, aren't an option. Good luck with that at Reedman. I've had the same experience with phone calls. NEVER had one returned. I'm taking delivery in Downingtown. #100

What a way to start the new Fiat experience. In the past two days, I was able to confirm that my car # 447(along with a many as 9 others), are being sent to "Team Hyundai Mall of GA" (an AutoNation dealership) estimated to arrive within the next 5 to 7 days. I went to see the good folks at Team Hyundai Mall of Ga (only 5 miles from home), and they didn't have a clue about the PEs. They knew that their building would become a Fiat Studio (the hyundai dealership is being moved to a new location 1/2 mile down the road), but they said that wouldn't be ready until May. When I mentioned Prima Edizone, they gave me that "Dear in the Headlights" look, and I knew I was in trouble. After further explaining to them what they PEs are all about, they said there would be no legal way for them to deliver the cars since they don't even have a GA State license to sell Fiats. They said they don't anticipate seeing that very soon. They said the earliest they would be able to "sell" Fiats would be May. This person giving me all this info (at least any that he knew about), was the Acting Used Car sales manager who replaced the guy with all the corporate knowledge about the Fiat side of the business(this guy abruptly quit last week). No one else could even spell Fiat. The acting used car sale person will be leaving himself within a week or two, and replaced with someone who will have even less knowledge of Fiat business this dealership is supposedly in. This SUCKS!!! The used car sales person wasted no time in telling me that upon taking delivery, I would be charged a $580 doc fee. This REALLY SUCKS!!!!! $580 doc fee, and they don't even know what the car looks like. When I reported all of this back to FIAT USA, they asked me if I wanted the car shipped to another dealer, but that it would first have to be sent to the Hyundai Dealership before it can be trucked to another dealership of my choice. So, if I wanted to avoid taking delivery from a bunch of Hyundai boys who don't even know what a Fiat 500 looks like (and could care less), I would first have to wait for it to be dropped off at the Hyundai dealership (so that these Hyundai boys can take a few joy rides in it), then be put on a truck to be shipped to another almost ready, soon to be Fiat Studio some 400 miles way in North Carolina (or perhaps the dealer in Sarasota?) Again what a way to start off with the New Fiat experience.

Its worth saving the 600 bucks and having it shipped to a dealer who knows and cares. You may have to wait a few more days... but I think you'll be happy you did.

Agreed, As for me, I am getting from Fiat at Westbury for the free loaner cars they give to those who bought there. If not, I'd go to Alfredo in Larchmont.

Sam, get your loaner car agreement in writing as policies like that often change. Did you check if Alfredo offers loaner cars? I just trust him more.

Couldn't agree with you more FredFrey. The whole thought of paying out $600 for nothing in return especially when they don't have a clue about the car, is enough to get me to drive wherever else to pick up the car

This is BAD. I left a message for Keith two days ago, he may be the guy who quit. I am willing to go somewhere else but to have to have the car sent to one place and then wait to get it somewhere else is not going to fly.
If they can't deliver as promised, then I just may have to completely reconsider my purchase. Seriously, Fiat (Chrysler) is botching this launch. Not sure if the dealer or Fiat is to blame on this. I may be making some calls tomorrow. I was starting to get warm and fuzzy about this as Keith had a clue on the cars but everyone else I spoke with there had NO clue about the cars and they didn't even tell the receptionist that they were going to be selling Fiats. I wish Fiat corporate were monitoring these forums and being proactive. This hasn't been a great way to treat people who put money down and have been awaiting the arrival of these cars.

Paul,
Could you please tell me where 310 is showing to be? I've also placed several calls trying to determine a date that the studio in Tulsa will open. No returned phone calls yet. The sister dealerships (Group1 Auto) just tell me that there will be a studio, but that is all they know. The location on the webpage doesn't currently have a building suitable to be a studio. Not terribly excited about picking up a new Italian car without local service support. |
AllenR,
Your car is sitting in Oklahoma City. In some cases where the FIAT Studio will not be open for a while I know that they are allowing the vehicle to be delivered out of a sister Chrysler Jeep Dodge store. Does Group 1 have a CJD store? They may also have a mechanic that has been thru the FIAT training.

I wish that was the case...heck we have a Chrysler dealers ship that will be opening a Fiat Studio later this year...2.5 miles from my house...No go on letting my car go there...
Next closest is in El Paso...They have a HUGE Chrysler dealership and a Fiat Studio opening in a couple of months...260 miles away...No go on letting my car go there... Now my Fiat is heading 700 miles from me....grrrrrrrr, but it is what it is... Gavin and probably still sitting in Santa Rosa :) |
Could you tell me where #395 is ???
Thanks. |

Hi Chris,
Just got off the phne with Tom Elliott down at Fiat of South Atlanta. He was a pleasure to speak to, and rught up to speed on the PE program. What a difference from Team Hyundai Mall of GA. According to Tom, their Fiat Studio will be operational by 3/17. He told me that several of their 500s are at the rial yeard near the ATL Airport, and that they are waiting for Fiat to have them released to them. I am going to look into having my car sent to them. They too have a $580 doc fee which appears to be unavoidable for taking delivery of a car in the State of GA. I told Tom that I would inform you of this, and provide you with his contact info: Tom Elliott 770-957-2497, telliott@fiatofsouthatlanta.com You may want to give Tom a call. At least he'll make you feel a lot better about the PE program. Cheers, Joe D

Good news about his knowledge... bad news on that charge! I would complain and tell him many other dealers are not including any other charges as the PE price includes a $500 destination charge. If he won't move, then try to get a free loaner car or something.
