ha...and just think how valuable my Prima will be...0 miles on the odometer, 46 years old...of course it would need to have a really nice cover...46 years sitting in the New Mexico sun would be HELL on the paint job :) Gavin |

Yeah, that sounds about right. Similarly, when I bought my Prius, they were still refusing to budge on the price because the Prius was still in very high demand at the time. The trade-in was the bargaining chip—we negotiated an extra $700 for it.

I told myself I wouldn't ask again....gah I wish I could track it myself :)...
but is 137 still in Santa Rosa?? If so, I might have to go liberate it Old West Style... Gavin |
Well I think it doesn't matter at this point if they are at the dealer cuz you STILL can't get them. Mine is sitting at Motor Village. They say it will still be a couple more days. PDI and whatever else they say they need to do.

Fantastico! Benicia is just up the road.
Corporate, FIAT North America, has being doing an interesting job on tis new car and market. (I am happy) I am beginning to get a bad feeling about the dealers here and there (so what's new I guess) Never thought about living in your neck of the woods but man oh man one person can make such a difference! I'll join the ranks and offer Kudos! Good luck there, I'll keep reading forum posts. Btw, I downloaded the android FIAT 500 app and it is soooo ueful. I have been through all the offered car controls etc on my Viewsonic Tablet (Vegan beta 5.1 ROM) I have ECO drive too on Win XP but the USA is not covered yet (ever?) It wants a VIN as well so I'll try UK and the VIN My plan is to format a stick (eco drive pre-req) and take it with my on the first drive. If the local delar truns out to be not an expected "FIAT experiance" can I transfer the car to somewhere else do you know? OR would I have to give up the car at that point, you know? Cheers, Mike |

Yes...but I am still not 100% sure where my Prima is going...so having it reach SOME destination would be helpful :) At least to maintain a small portion of sanity...the majority fled years ago... Gavin |

Sorry Gavin, there's no change in the status of your car.
Mike- I'm not sure if you could transfer your vehicle to another dealer once it's already sitting on their lot. You would have to contact the FIAT help center to get a difinite answer. As far as the ECO drive, I downloaded the UK version on my computer and in the car, the trip information is being stored on the USB drive but when I try to import it in the program it says there is no info. I'm not sure what the deal is but I just can't get it to work. Hopefully someone here has better luck.

I brought up Eco Drive and gave the country as UK and a VIN of CT500173
The stick already has other stuff on it and no damage was done by PREPARE EcoDrive created an iFiat folder with subfolders of ecoDrive and markers with a Data folder in ecoDrive. Instructions say I can use music and ecodrive as well (device sharing!) This could be fun I'll print instructions and take with me. Hope this dealer doesn't blow if Cheers, Mike |

ah, i'm ok...kinda amused at this point :) I was all set to get my car in El Paso...almost 2 weeks of contact with that Dealership..price, financing, delivery all set...then Fiat changed my dealer to Memphis, then Austin... pretty sure it will end up in Austin, but you never know :) Gavin |

Just got an email from the dealer, and my car #366 is coming in. I am scheduled to speak with the Fiat Financing manager on Monday. As well as get the car in for "set up", then the dealership will get the official license to sell Fiats on Tuesday. And if all goes well and my work schedule permits, I can get the car on Wednesday. I sure hope that I can pull some strings and get up on Wednesday. They might have some official fanfare that day, photo shoots or something. There is also another PE coming in with mine, but not sure about the number.
This was all after a couple of calls yesterday: one to the dealership and then one to Fiat. The dealership told me that they were officially waiting on Fiat to call them and give them some new information. After that call, I immediately called the Fiat service line, and asked them about the car and its whereabouts. And they could give me nothing concrete about it. But at least she was really nice and excited for me as well. Then I get another email from the dealership saying that my car is in Riverside County, about 100 miles north of San Diego. But that the earliest they could deliver my car would be by late next week. Then today, I get the best email, which is telling me that they car is on it's way down on Monday. And thanks to PaulL in the forum, he had already told me where the car was, and rechecked yesterday and said that it was scheduled for delivery. But if all goes well, I should have my PE as early as Wednesday. I should have more info on Monday. I will keep everyone posted. Joel |

OK, Paul, I have been smugly watching folks ask you where there PE is/was/will be and thinking that I would never do that. Uhm ... OK ... might you check on # 160, pretty please? Still not sure it'll be mine, but remain interested enough to ask. Probably need to charter a bus to get my friends and neighbors who say they want to come get a look, too. As long as I am here, one of the rather touchingly pathetic aspects of my Guzzi discussion boards -- and to which little tragedy I also contribute -- is when we wonder aloud in electrons how many Piaggio HQ's folks check out what we say on those boards. We hope they are taking notes ... but know better, darn it. In this instance, suspect demoeconographics here are "more desirable" to motor marketeers than are many of us mostly aging Guzzisti. So, I do wonder if "the suits" (or The Skirt! ) or even staff ever check out the grousing, etc., here. Back to my inbox ...

Thanks, Paul!
For 499, Doremus is in NJ. Long Island is where it is going. Plant Release? They consider where it is now to be a plant?
