that's true sketch, those cars will be regular cars that were ordered through the studios and not having to wait 6 months for them.

That's a BMW, kmarei. They're legendary for that.
BMW has been operating in this very efficient, very precise, very German way for decades. Fiat and Chrysler have both seen death, and recently. Let them worry about building and selling their cars first so we'll still have a dealer network in five years.

Well, I am not as put out about the "commo" (or lack) issues as most here. You obviously don't own a Moto Guzzi, as that wretched lot (which includes me) is grateful for dealers within 500 miles. I am blessed with a good one within 70.
So, I can live with all of the confusion; we Guzzisti charmingly call that "character." My problem is dealer greed. I appreciate capitalism, and am quite willing to help a great dealer with its bottom line. They have to feed families, etc. As someone who "over tips" restaurant waitstaff and others, I am not miserly. But the brazen rip-offs, e.g., phony doc fees set me off, and if I get even a whiff of that, my puppylust dies in the showroom. That sort of ADP is short-sighted and ultimately loses loyalty of customers. OTOH, maybe computer marketing models tell FIAT and other marques that the sheep don't care. This gruff old goat does. BTW, I subscribed to e/m updates to this thread, but tried to unsubscribe after it went viral. Even tho I've been told I was "successful," not. Continue to get bombarded. By time I sign out here, my droid will ping me with my own words. Anyone here break the code on that? Thanks.

Audi and MB too. Just don't mention MINI or else...the Brits get pissed off!
Also since they use Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics, you can actually enter your VIN on the shipper's website to find out the location of your car along the way. |

i'm not really worried about FIAT, i wasn't expecting much better
i AM worried about Alfa Romeo, if they want to compete with BMW/Audi etc they really have to shape up their act. i'd love my next car to be an Alfa, i want the 4C :) |

If the list is alphabetical they probably read the above yours since my name is also Reid, and it is SUPPOSED to be going to Shreveport. Paul tells me it's going to Memphis, but, as with all things CIAO FIAT--who the heck knows?

I spoke to our FIAT rep today and she emailed me all of the contact info for the Prima customers that are assigned to our studio. She tells me that the vehicles will be released some time next week! I expect your dealers will be calling you shortly.

Ditto. My local dealer seems nice enough but he is still in the dark. Three cheers for the Chris and Paul team.

I spoke to Clay at Bob and Chuck Eddy fiat today, and he said he's just waiting for Fiat to release the cars from Lordstown which could be any day now. He said it may be next week I get my car. I'll take pics and post when I do.

Hi Paul, would it possible to recheck that? I can't find a town called Doremus in NJ. Perhaps that is a street at the port? Thanks! Sam

Sam, I'm not Paul, but I Googled around and found:
Doremus Motors 127 Doremus Avenue Newark, NJ 07105-4804 (973) 344-7747 Perhaps this is your car's destination? |
My guess is a typo from "Paramus", Sam. For whatever an uneducated guess means to you. :^)
Although just for fun you should call that "Doremus Motors" that 'PE#454' found and see what they have to say about it! -Shaun

Paul,
Thanks for doing the digging for us. Would you please check on #18 and #19 for me? It'll be interesting to compare to my Dealer's info. He called yesterday to say that my car would be available sometime between March 9 and March 17. Alvon

Hey John... Did Jeff call you last night? He called me around 6:30 PM. Stated eight of our cars are at the rail yard in KC. Waiting to be released pending the arrival of the window stickers and the delivery tarp which has not cleared customs. Said he will call Monday with VIN and estimated date we can get our cars. He thought it might be by the end of next week. He did say only 8 of the 10 cars are there. The other two were slated for home delivery from the start. He was not sure what happened this those. So hang in there... Our wait is almost over! |

Our chrysler dealer site is down right now so I can't check any of the vehicles just yet. Hopefully in a couple hours I'll get back to you with some more info.

Vlad92-
That is the same info that my rep told me. The vehicles are at storage/shipping lots and are awaiting the window stickers (monroney labels) before they can be released.
