That's the Canadian one, mind you.
Oh, I thought they were the same. Sorry for the misleading info.

In response to 'Gloom':

The USA PE has all the additional items that you listed for the Canadian PE, except for the panoramic power sun roof.  The stock Sport and Lounge versions also list the 'premium Bose audio' system (though I don't know specifically if it has 6 speakers + subwoofer).

Don't the pictures of that Canadian one not have the panoramic sunroof?

Is a PE USB included for US or for Canada?

The one in the pictures for this thread does have a sunroof.

Hey, the local dealer called a few minutes ago with some news.  He reported:
All the Prima cars are in the USA now, and are being prepped for delivery.  Expect no sooner than March 9, but should be delivered by St Patties Day, March 17.  Wooo hooo!

PS:  This was from the Thousand Oaks, CA dealer, but the implication is that these dates apply to all the cars delivered in the USA.

I didn't know there was a Thousand Oaks dealer?  Are they up & running?  I am having mine delivered to Motor Village but for maintenance TO is right near our shop.  That would be much better than going downtown.

There are two versions of the Prima Edizione in Canada. The one with a sunroof is identical (or nearly) to the US car. The other Canadian Prima has less equipment. I'll post it when I get a chance.

Yes, the T.O. dealer that is creating the Fiat 'Studio' is Shaver Sabaru.  I wonder if there are other non-Chrysler dealers in the USA?

I first went down to Motor Village of LA like you did.  They are nice folks and all, but it's a bear getting in and out of downtown LA.  I went down there for a test drive, but couldn't really get a decent test drive because of all the bumper to bumper traffic, which is going to be a problem in downtown LA more often than not.

You have access to nice canyons for test rides in T.O.  They have 2 demo cars for test drives.

I'm gonna stop in TO tomorrow just for fun.

I love Motor Village.  They threw a mean launch party.  I don't mind going downtown but after delivery I will most likely make TO my dealership since it is so close.  I can't wait to check it and take another test drive while I wait.

I am actually thinking of moving my delivery away from Motor Village LA, maybe to TO or Costa Mesa. The Torrance once isn't up and running though.

The folks are nice at MVLA, but every time I ask about tracking my car and final price, fees etc, they will beat around the bush. Til today, Fiat says mine is going to MVLA, but MVLA can't confirm it.

I dunno if they will try some BS Doc fees (prolly won't be much if they do) but there are no mark ups or anything if that's what you are worried about.  Ralph Gilles assured me they would not be marking them up.

You are correct. They are short of info.  The whole experience hasn't been too pleasant for me.  I

California has a doc fee limit of $55, so you don't have much of an issue on that point.

Tags and tax are so high in CA I never notice if they add other fees when we have bought cars.  Everyone is picking apart fees.  I just assume there always are some?  I thought some people are still concerned if the dealers are going to mark up since these are the first ones.

Re: Picking up my Prima Edizione

Having only ever bought one car new before (and that was with an employee discount), my experience in purchasing is really limited. I don't mind paying what has to be paid, just always a bit skeptical about add-ons....extra insurance's/warranties. Anyone have any easy info on what I should and should not pay here in Los Angeles....
I'm hoping the experience will be as stress free as these things can be. Since we don't know what the Invoice Price is for the PE and the MSRP is only a starting point, I'd be interested to see what everyone ends up paying (or maybe not if I don't fair too well..LOL !!). I'll post my experience and the final price I pay when I go in in the next week or so. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Ebay  "Buy Now price of $28,975 for PE # 35. Check it out. It's chock full of fiat500blog site info. Great ad for an ebay listing " This car is on EBAY for sale.  Also the picture is the car that was auctioned off for 85000.00

Shaver runs a Jeep franchise in TO, so they're still technically Chrysler-affiliated. Shaver used to run a Chrysler/Dodge dealer as well.

This is very true. If they let you take the car on a longer test drive, the twisty Decker Canyon road is just a short jaunt down Westlake Blvd.

Otherwise a drive around North Ranch (closer to the dealer) can reveal some surprisingly undulating neighborhood roads.

Today I picked up my Prima Edizione #237
You will fall in love with this car once you sit in it and drive it.

Tomorrow I will post real world pictures of the vehicle.  NO artificial lighting.
