Deal with it?

OK. I think we can say everyone has voiced their opinions, made their points and defended their honor. Now, let's get back to talking about the cars.

Hi Listers:
According to an earlier post, the Leno`s were buying #2 and #3. Who got number 1? DennisLee I really hope Jay plugs the Fiat on either his show or magazines. |
I wonder how many posters have received their cars. Those of us from the Olathe Kansas/Shreveport dealership still have no cars and little information. Are we among the last, or are most of our cars still somewhere in the Fiat universe?

From what I understand, there are a few cars going through Olathe, but only one is being delivered by Shreveport, from Shreveport. It is my understanding that the Shreveport dealer is also handling the transactions for the cars shipped out of Olathe since Olathe is not yet licensed.
I think, since they actually have my car in their possession, they want to do the first delivery with it to make sure they have the entire process down before they have to worry about all the particulars about working with another dealership and with customers in another state. The mother of the owner of the Landers dealerships passed away last week; the funeral was Saturday in Lafayette, so the owner has been out of town. According to Aldric (the top gun in the FIAT sector), they have the license, my financing is squared away, but there is "one small thing" which he needs to verify with the owner, who has been understandably difficult to reach, before he can deliver the car. Everything else is square. He is "certain" I will get my car this week.

Hi DennisLee, I checked on his site, but didn't see anything recently. I believe he is getting them at Motor Village. Check their Facebook page out. I'm sure they'll make a big deal out of it.

Still waiting on mine #239 Here in southern New Jersey and my dealship is in Delaware. The local dealership isn't ready. heck, I should of had the car sent to Ohio where I grew-up. They already delivered a number of PE. Would of been a nice visit to see the famiglia!

I've seen posts here giving Laura's mailing address, but does anyone an email dress for her?

Are you in NY? Why wait, buy one of the several PE's sitting on the lot for sale at Kelly FIAT north of Boston and drive it home. I think they have Rosso and Grigio. Heck, I went to Albany to get my MINI back when they were hot.

Well the first Prima is delivered in Colorado. After about 50 phone calls begging the dealer to do the paperwork and walking them through the process! Power Fiat in Torrance is now open officially and are working out their kinks. Pretty good guys there. Kudos to Go Chrysler Jeep in Golden Colorado for Facilitating delivery here in Colorado as well as my Fiat Rep Michelle who came to the delivery yesterday!

Well, the eight Kansas City and Nebraska Primas arrived at Fiat of Olathe aka Olathe Dodge Chrysler Jeep yesterday (Monday) and have been prepped and are ready for delivery starting tomorrow (Wednesday).
However, two of the eight Prima buyers have dropped out and Fiat is reclaiming the cars. Presumably for Prima buyers on the waiting list. For more information the full story is on KC Confidential @ http://kcconfidential.com/full_content.php?article_id=22493&full=yes&pbr=1 |
Could you get the numbers and colors of those 8 PEs before they're gone?

I'm looking at coming down on Saturday to get my car (# 92) and drive it home if the paperwork is in order. I gave up on the home delivery option as they indicated it would extend the timeline significantly. The paperwork is being overnighted from Shreveport tomorrow once they figure out how to deal with the sales tax and license (Louisiana sold car delivered in Kansas to be registered in Nebraska). Any bets if something will get screwed up?

After sitting in a parking lot in New Jersey for 4 weeks Prima Edizione #23 was finally delivered to my dealer in Sarasota Florida where I drove it off the lot today. I have to thank the regional brand manager for Flat-beding it down to FLA for me.
Even with only 150 miles on the odometer, I can say this a blast. Surprisingly for a car this tall it takes the turns extremely flat. Shifting is a breeze and the turning radius is a pleasant surprise. I still find it hard to believe that I'm driving a new FIAT here in the USA and from the smiles and questions from onlookers, this car could be just as big a hit here as has been in Europe. I made a stop at an Alfisti buddy and he also tossed it around with much pleasure.

Congratulations Fred!! The car is easy to drive. It's a nice change from some of the older stuff. Power steering and A/C in a Fiat, how cool is that!
