Hi Paul, do you have an update on # 447? It's scheduled to be delivered from Fiat Mall of GA.
Thanks! Joe D.

Yesterday I received a call from Chrysler LLC inquiring if the Studio called me about delivery of my #355. They had not. As far as I'm aware, the location where the Studio will be located, is still a quick oil-change service center with a small sign on the lawn saying that FIAT Studio coming soon. No sign of any construction. I inquired as to where the car was, and their reply was that they would check on it and call me back in a couple of days.
I would have thought that it would be simpler to first check all details before calling me. After all, they have all the information! A step in the right direction but still short. |
Several of us have called FIAT and pressed them for tracking info. They respond that they will call back... then do not. As nice as they are at the call center they seem to only be there to placate callers. They have no details, tracking info or any real ability to help it seems. Thanks to Paul I've learned my #23 will eventually be on the way to New Jersey when it is supposed to be delivered to the West Coast of Florida. Any update on #23 Paul?
Thanks!

Thanks for the above info Paul. It's been in NJ for 3 weeks now. I called FIAT help line with the above info. I told them things are getting crazy with people "first edition" cars sitting at shipping lots for many weeks. She was aware of this thanks to many previous callers. The call center has been flooded with calls over the last few days and are having a meeting today in regards to the issues. I told them just let us know what is going on via posting on this forum and the Facebook prima page.

The problem with that is the Ctrl key is in Calif, Alt key is at some distribution center in TN and the Del key is on the truck going to some where. |

Buddy of mine, "John" got his call from the dealer.
Here is how he described the call...I changed/edited out identifying information. "I got a call today. Here's how it went down. {Phone Rings} John: Hello? {Background noise...} John: Hello? {More background noise... Eventually a woman speaks. Old. Heavy Jersey accent. Voice oozes 40 or more years of cigarette smoking.} Millie: Yeah, I'm looking for John Rogers. John: Speaking. Who's this? Millie: This is Millie from Chrysler ____. You've got a car on order with us? John: No ma'am, certainly not me. Millie: I'm calling because your Fiat Pr-I-m-ah edition will be available soon. John: That's great. When? Millie: Don't know. John: May I speak to the manager? Millie: He ain't here. John: When will the car be available? Millie: I don't know. John: How much will it cost? Millie: I'm not sure. John: Where is it now? Millie: Somewhere between Italy and Chrysler ____. John: You know they're made in Mexico, right? Millie: It's an Italian car. I'm not looking forward to dealing with an American car dealer..."

Perhaps the time is right for Fiat to compensate us for the confusion, failure to deliver as promised and frustration they have caused we "passionate" Fiat people who were supposed to be given the shining example of how Fiat operates now as opposed to the reputation they had upon leaving the US market. Any ideas?
|
They're not legally bound to do anything (we never had a memorialized contract)--but it would sure be nice if they gave us something (especially those who have been chasing their cars all over the country!) for the mixups.
Maybe some PRIMA logo floor mats? ... oh wait I'd be happy just getting the car at this point. I've been riding my bike for months now thinking the car was about to arrive any minute!
