Parts ordering

Thad
Has anybody tried ordering parts for their cars? I'm trying to get the spare tire and associated bits but my dealership is saying they can't order parts yet. What gives?

I'm trying to order a regular 16" Prima wheel and tire, rear floor mats, and a trunk mat.  No luck so far, but I haven't really pushed the dealership to get these.  I'll ask again soon.

I'm getting mud flaps and receiver hitch -- i am scheduled for Monday and they tell me the parts are in (Richmond, VA) -- note: if you get spare, then you cannot get hitch and vice versa.

mtnroadbiker:

Can you post some pictures of the receiver hitch and how it is attached when you get it?  I don't actually require it since my road bike fits inside, but I hadn't heard that info about not being able to use a spare.  I was thinking of getting one in the future if it was possible, but now that seems to be questionable.

Shaun Folkerts (Prima #11) ordered and installed a Euro hitch from westfalia. It is entirely hidden and will allow a spare tire. very cool setup he did. Link here: http://www.fiatlancia.com/500mod1.html

I was at Criswell today, and they have sold a 500 with a spare tire and receiver hitch installed and showed me a picture of the hitch.  They looked up the stats and found the spare listed on the option sheet.

thanks. I should get my car back today and I'll tell them that Criswell can do it (both hitch and spare). It will be interesting to hear their response.

James.....Alloy Wheel PN 1UF17DX8AA for the Primas has a List Price of $287.00 and are readily available from MOPAR.  they show 380 in stock in their warehouse in Marysville Michigan.

Rear Floor Mats are another story.  while the description of the "Premium Carpet Mats" does state 'available for front and rear', only the front has a part number.  I would guess that the rear pair are not available at this time.

Cargo 'Tray' PN 82212583 does show a List Price of $49.00 but MOPAR does not show any stock on hand.  an item that soon will be released.   so far there are no listings for a Cargo "Mat" (carpet?).

hope this helps.......

My dealer could get the reciever - but could not tell me if it was 1.25" or 2".  Do you know?  Would love to know if it works with spare as my inbound 500C has the spare

thanks

Re: Parts ordering

I think it is a 1.25", not usable except mostly for bike racks. I have not seen it in person, just in a picture.  Adaptors are not hard to find.

Thanks for the great information.  My local studio has my wheel in, they are just waiting to get the tire mounted.

Just ordered the mud flaps and the locking gas cap as well, from my dealer.  The mud flaps seem to be a nice deal, as they are only $22 or so and the gas cap is about the same price as well.  Which is really inexpensive, as other places have them on sale for $29.00.  It will take a couple of days to order the parts, but I intend to pick them up this Monday.

Re: Parts ordering

My svc advisor called me about the mud flaps and said they do not look good when installed. If you get it done, could you post a pic as I decided to hold off for now? also, had the hitch receiver installed and it looks great and I'll post a pic of that soon. Also, I was misinformed earlier, the hitch and spare can both be installed. -- #483.

I just received some side stripes from a seller on ebay. I couldn't bring myself to pay $400 from MOPAR. The decals are cut out of high quality Avery stock and came with FIAT placement instructions. Came from Italy, took a few weeks, but at $135 including shipping, I didn't figure it would be too bad. I am quite happy.

Now I just need my 500 to show up. Then I'll be really happy.

If you like some stripes or other things you can find here: Linea Accessori and that I can easily ship to you, maybe I could help you. (you can find the stripes, stickers and badges under the "Personalizzazione" menu).

Obviously with no charge from my side.

You could collect a number of them (taking note of their code) and then I can go to the MotorVillage to ask for prices and availability. If you make a sort of group buy it's better for me, so I can avoid to go to the shop for every single item

Ciao,
