I used to have aftermarket mats over the stock one, but now I am just too lazy. Yea, I guess I will get the rubber ones sooner or later. Yea, please keep us updated on the accessories availability from ur local studio.

Yes, that's really sharp, however, that $209 price tag is keeping me at bay! Hazard of being retired. |

Hi Lirandy,
Looking great. Do you think your friend could get those Climair window deflectors? 500Madness is taking too long to get them, and it is getting hotter and brighter down here in San Diego. I would buy them myself, but the shipping is just as much as the deflectors. Perhaps we could split the shipping with whomever wants the pedals? Those deflectors help with our woefully inadequate sun visors. The visors are basically useless for me, when they are used on the side of the car. That's where the deflectors come in, as they come across the whole window length. ok, well if you wouldn't mind asking your friend if he/she would be able/willing to do this? Thanks. Joel |
Joel, you know what. I've run into the similar situation like you. I actually have asked for the window deflectors when I asked my friend to get me the pedals and other stuff, but the window deflectors are too long for UK Royal Mail (like our USPS) to post. If he took them to somewhere like DHL, like you said, the shipping cost will probably cost more than the window deflectors.

Oh well we tried. I guess we are stuck with one of companies here to get them over sooner. I have called 500madness and they don't expect to get the deflectors till next month, which sucks. But I guess that's the way the mop flops. But thanks for asking.

Ok just might have found another place which sells our Climair window deflectors. Just ordered a pair, but not sure when they will arrive. And best part is that they are way less expensive than other places. The place that I found them was at:
www.roadworksauto.com They are sold under the "Weathertech" or "Weatherflectors", instead of the OEM name Climair. And like I said a bit less expensive, at $58 or so with $4 shipping. Way cheaper than 500Madness.com. But like I said I have not got them yet, I might be waiting for a bit before I get them. I will let you know when I get them. And not a moment too soon, as it is wet and rainy here. Joel |

GREAT FIND! I've always loved the Coco Mats, from my Volvo owner days. I used to have my Coco Mats in for Spring and Summer and in the Fall, change over to the 'Thermoplastic Trays', much like the "Husky" and "Weatherbeater" floor trays. rotating them would really prolong the life of the Coco Mats and kept the interior carpet much cleaner in the winter! :)

Ran across this picture. Looks like a nice Mopar strut bar and high performance intake. Anyone thinking of getting these two items?
|
I'd consider the performance intake if A) it's a bolt-on kit with no permanent modifications required and B) the price is right. Any idea what the horsepower gain is? One of the aftermarket vendors is selling something similar for about $400, which seems a tad steep, but they guarantee a 5 HP increase which is probably noticeable on a 101 HP car car.
|
I think a 5 hp gain is a bit steep. I don't know how restrictive the original intake is, but typically these set-ups deliver a 1-2 hp increase at the most. I would have to see dyno results from a company claiming big hp gains. I don't think I would ever spend $400 on an intake system.

I've just noticed this pedal thread and should tell you that within about two weeks I will be offering a pedal set that will run about $100 cheaper. Please check my site about then for stock.

Ok, I'm getting pretty frustrated in getting these blasted wind deflectors....as I prematurely noted that I had found another place to get the Climair, www.roadworkdsauto.com doesn't have them. I just got a very short and to the point email from them, it basically said we cannot get the product. And yet on their website you can totally order the deflectors. Ok I hope that the guys at 500madness can get their stock "through customs", is what I was told over the phone. And they don't expect that till later this month or even next.
Well I will keep an eye out for them. Since the sun visors on our cars are pretty much useless for the side windows, unless you are tall and right next to the steering wheel. This is where the deflectors come in as they provide the nice sun shade the whole length of the window. Joel |

Good news for those people who are looking for the pedals. Yea, I've been surfing around and can't find anything so far. Hope 500Madness will get them soon. I had my front window tinted with 40%, with some better heat resisting material. I think that helps a little

It's available at 500 Madness, $394.99: http://500madness.com/500madness/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=40_63&product_id=276 According to the dyno chart, horsepower went from 98 to 103. |
The problem with this is that the MultiAir 1.4L is rated at 101 HP so it may not do much, if that's the actual numbers for the 1.4L they list as even in Europe, it's 100HP with the standard 1.4 16V motor. |
$400 for a few more hp and probably more intake noise.
|
I think 5 hp would be pretty noticeable, so it might be worth it. Hopefully, once these cars are a little more established, some competing kits will hit the market and drive the price down.
