Thanks TopoRosso for posting that link. I was stuck at work and couldn't do it. By the way, here is another "picture" of the Prima for you guys: It's an illustration, but it's a pretty good one at that. I thought I'd give you all a little treat!

Very nice sneak peak of the Prima. I notice the side stripes appear to be glossy. I wonder if that is accurate.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for posting this pic. Is that a more accurate color of the Rosso? If so, then i'll be happy with that. It looks better then the cgi's we've seen so far. craig

Well, it is an illustration, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of the color. I'm just sorry I didn't take more pictures of the cars at the event. There was just so much to do I couldn't take it all in. I was the last one to leave the lunch stop, and kept the engineers and development folks there answering questions forever;)
I have to say, everyone on the Fiat team is very accommodating and friendly. You can get an idea by watching the videos I posted on behind the scenes at the Fiat Press Event.

speaking of the videos, just a great job on these and a significant contribution to our overall 500 knowledge. I have to admit, I am getting my early excitment back about the vehicle watching these interviews. Is it solely me or do others feel that Laura Soave is growing into a solid company executive/spokesperson in these. Originally I wasn't very impressed, but she is not only wearing well, but impressing me that there is a solid Fiat strategy and she is leading it.
Anyway, thanks again Chris and AutoNation. Just outstanding work, and once again, about the only place on the entire internet where you can get this info.

Second on all that, Chris this is THE USA 500 site. Thanks!

You guys are all welcome! Because everyone here deserves the best, I have been working on a project behind the scenes of this forum, the results I'm sure you'll like. One thing I can say now is there will be even more Fiat content to enjoy.

I spoke to Alfredo at Chrysler of Larchmont. He says that even though his Studio is not up, he WILL be able to deliver my Prima. He is less than an hour from me.

Oh, and I don't recall where we discussed this, but as to the option of changing our PE configuration, here is what the FAQ's at the Fiat site said:
"Q: Is there a way to change my vehicle configuration after placing my reservation? A: Changes can be made when the dealer contacts you to finalize the order." From what I hear, that is not true.

Sigh... that is correct, I waited too long to change my color. Oh well. I have car 29 so I'm pretty sure it's already built from what I've heard through the grapevine. It's not confirmed, though.

Really? That sounds cool, I'm 1.5 hours away from them. I called Albany, but nobody knew anything and their Fiat guy was in LA till Sat. I can't beleive how hard it is to give a dealer $22,000. I wish I were selling cars again!

This just in from Criswel Fiat:
I just returned from FIAT training in LA. We will post pics on Facebook before the day ends. ....Most of the Primas are built and awaiting shipment. Here is the process for delivery; you must request us as your "finishing dealer", after that the serial number is assigned to us and shipment follows. We will be the first dealer open for business within a week from now.

Thanks Sam for posting this. I just figured out what taking a train down to Criswell will be, $333 for three people. I may just drive down. Right now, I'm up in the air on what I'll do.

Don't run to Criswell just yet. Call Alfredo at Chrylser at Larchmont!
He says you can designate him as a "finishing dealer" just the same.

Thanks Sam, I've been kicking it back and forth. I used to go to Alfredo to buy my Alfa parts. I need to make some calls. Hey, did anyone say how long it would take to get your car?

Yes, I asked (of course!). He SAYS end of February. But I have a feeling that's his guess.
