No car since June of 2005. I have 2 scooters (one 150cc 2 stroke and one 500cc modern scooter)..I have a road bike and a mountain bike. Rain, shine, snow or Ice I am, sometimes ill advisedly riding one of those 4 vehicles. Doesn't matter if it's 6 degrees or 106 degrees.

But at 49 I figure it might be time to get a cage again...at least for those 6 degree mornings...and ice storm days.

my big ride...

Gavin, that is so cool.

That reminds me of an Italian friend I had who would ride his dual sport during a snow storm in a polo shirt. He would say "Chris, that's the way we do it in Italy"  and dismiss my concerns with a wave of his hand. I felt like such a wimp! LOL

No I do not work for Chrysler.  The local dealer treats me and all of thier customers quite well.  They are one of the dealers who are in the targeted market area for a Fiat Studio and thier proposal was approved.

After reading about everyone's car collections, I'm almost embarrassed to say that I've been driving the same car since 1991:

1988 Mazda 323, aka: "Betty Blue." She's a classic!

For a while, I rode a Moto Guzzi, v65 (not the classic styling, more the utilitarian type). But it was big and I am very petite so we parted ways. Looked real nice though, especially with its redesigned seat, courtesy of an Italian designer friend. Love Italian style!

This is the first time in my life I'm coveting a car. Have been since 2008...

I need to hijack this thread for a moment: That, LinNE, is a gorgeous V65.  Where is it now?

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming:

As Gavin, I rarely drive a car, tho we have a large carbon wheelprint nonetheless.

I commute daily on a '98 Moto Guzzi EV; when I get bored with that, I take my '07 Moto Guzzi Norge.  It's a small harem, and I am trying to convince my (sweet-and-indulgent-but-she-has-limits) spousal unit that I need a Griso Tenni SE to round it out.  Even if fiscally doable, pretty sure it's going to be hard to get the #160 500 I have the deposit on just now and the Griso, but we shall see.

On miserable days (not many in Atlanta), I take the '93 Toyota pickup with a bazillion miles, most of which daughters, friends, and neighbors put on it.  A number of the last have keys to it, and I'd probably have to get permission of the neighborhood to sell it!

My wife drives a bottom-of-the-line base '09 Honda Fit, which is really a surprisingly decent car for daily driving.  She got that when we replaced her 200K-miles '99 Civic with an '09 MINI Cooper S convertible.  We soon realized we wanted to garage the MINI and use it on "special" days, trips, etc.

Learned to love FIAT's when I had a '76 131.  Bought it new in Richmond and took it to Italy for 3 years, '77 - '80.  Put 220K or so miles on it and only sold it in '83 when the kids, cocker spaniel, and logistics of those meant we needed a bigger car.  I still miss it.

Even if I decide to get the 500, I am not sure I won't give up #160 and wait for a later version I can have more choices with.

Back to reality.

Carabinieri... you're quite a Goose lover, I see...

Alas, the v65 is gone, but I think it still lives somewhere up here in New England... maybe York? A unique model, that's for sure...
