I was talking to my local Fiat dealer rep about when they might receive their demo car. I was telling her that delivery of demo cars to dealers seems to be random and since we are located on the Texas border (El Paso) that their dealership is closer to the Toluca, Mexico plant than other dealerships, and they should have gotten their car sooner. She said that she was thinking the same thing until she talked to someone from Fiat. When she was inquiring about their demo car they told her that even though they are produced in Toluca, Mexico, they still have to go through customs in another state, which means we're really not the closest dealer. They said the demo car is being shipped from Michigan.
The first dealer to receive a demo was located in Michigan, so it makes sense that the cars must be getting distributed from Michigan, at least for now.
