Hi,
here's the infos I gathered about the canadian 500.
- The fiat canada website now has a build and price feature
- The canadian pop-sport-lounge are slighly different from the US version, mostly on the standard vs optional features. Lounge has leather seats included while it's optional on the US version
- Many Chrysler dealer that will carry the 500 have online inventory system where the 500 are showing up as "in transit". The systems show the price and all packages included on the car. Most dealer have between 12 and 20 car in their inventory: pop and sport, all with manual trans and different options package.
- With the law in Quebec and Ontario that require to advertise the price with all fees included. Most of the dealers with online inventories add a 500$ fee over the fiat canada price.
- At least one dealer in my area is charging the exact price from the fiat canada website without added fees (just adding the sales taxes).
- One very creative dealer in laval (Quebec) has 2 european 500 in their showroom, the one I saw was a 2007 or 2008. They also have a classic 500 from the 70s in the showroom.
-The actual demo car of the 2012 are not yet arrived in my area
- the advertised interest rate on loan is 5.9%, a very high rate compared to mazda, ford, hyundai...
- Since the car i want is not in any inventory, I will probably have to do a build to order and it will take forever to get the car. My current car lease is ending mid june and I would like to have a car in early june. Nobody can tell me if it's realistic to expect a car by then.
If fellow canadian have more info, fell free to add any bits you find.
