Your plans for delivery day

PE#454
When you get the call that your 500 is ready for you to take ownership, what are your plans? Will this be a solo event, or do you have friends/family you want to bring along to share in the experience? When you drive it off the lot, where will you take your beautiful new baby to show off?

I will likely go alone, by choice. I recall, some 30-something years ago, when I spotted the used 128 that would be my third vehicle. The sales agent allowed me to keep the car overnight (heh-heh) and I drove it from Little Rock down to Hot Springs an hour away, where I took on Hot Springs Mountain Drive--the perfect location to test the car's agility and nimbleness. I was hooked. In honor of my first automotive love, I plan to repeat that experience.

Also, I found some great Italian music on a YouTube clip of the 500 that I'm gonna download and play on the drive. Check it out!

I will not be alone. At least my son and possibly more.

I'm bringing mine to a local strip club and see how many strippers I can fit in it!

I will walk out the front door in my PJs, look her over, sign a few forms, go back in and change into jeans and take a ride on the turquoise trail from Albuquerque to Santa Fe...fun twisty mountain road...pretty and not much traffic...

I will get a ride from a co-worker to the dealer, buy the car, drive it home and beg for forgiveness.

I plan to kid proof the car by covering all seating surfaces with blankets, adding back seat protector, and putting in winter floor mats.  Then I'll put the two booster seats in the back and take my daughters for a drive.

Whoever is home will be home! :P

Hopefully that includes my mother, because she's proven time and time again to be an absolute savant at dealing with car salesman types! :P
