I think the PE is the PE. It comes with what it comes with. You can order what you want and get it very quickly, I think. You can pass on the PE any time you want.

Yes! Yes, take my PE! Clearly I can't wait to ditch my reservation.

You think the PE is the PE, huh?

You mean that embarrassingly-paltry list of features we were given? The total lack of customizability?

How bout the original date for the contract to be signed? Came and went without any transparency on the part of Chrysler.

It cones with what it comes with? Very insightful, thanks!

Thanks, but I don't need you to tell me whether or not I should keep my PE number.

Why in God's name would I pass on something that doesn't even have full details, eg, MPG yet?

I just want accountability and Chrysler to be true to its Written word, sorry for asking so much!

More importantly, I'd like leather offered as an option (as it appears to be in the sport based on these pics) so we don't get penalized for getting the first run of what are essentially sports.

Hi cinquecento,

I feel your frustration with the process. It is tough being left in the dark so long, however, I didn't think Mike was telling you take it or leave it,  it sounded more like he was saying the PE comes only one way you could order exactly what you want and it shouldn't take too long to get.  I've thought about that myself (I'm sure everyone has. The customization is one of the things we gave up with the PE, and it's something that is more important to some folks than others).

By the way, I think the seats are Katzkin leather seat covers offered as an optional accessory.

edited to make more sense;)

Mike was giving you good information based on what we as a group know   so far.

Being an early adopter of ANY product has it's joy's and it's challenges, and it almost always requires a bit of patience. I understand your frustrations, but it's inappropriate to take them out on Mike, or any forum member. Chris has worked hard to create fiat500usa, and we have a great group here. So many wonderful and varied voices contributing, and learning from each other.
The experience has been wonderful, and the "tone" of conversation has been positive, respectful, and friendly.

I can not speak for Mike, but I saw nothing in his post that could be construed as offensive. I do question your post, however. That you are angry with Fiat is obvious, and even understandable. Your anger towards Mike is baffling, unexpected and slightly creepy.

I've really enjoyed reading your posts cinquecento, and I hope to read many more. But for the sake of the forum, and your good reputation here, please be civil and respectful. I know you can do it.

Peace,
William

Fair Enough.  I fully understood that some wouldn't like what I had to say, and I by no means look to avoid taking responsibility for what I said, or indeed, say.

With that said, I dislike being wrongfully chided and I'm not afraid to stand up for myself.  To each his own, as they say; However, I found his comment very unnecessary and offensive, and I could have just as easily seen the cavalry ride to my aid and not his--perhaps my depth and research came across as being more negative than its intent (I'm currently a law student).

Incidentally, I'm admittedly stressed about the 500, my (junky) car broke down a few weeks ago, and I'm torn between fixing it up and waiting for the 500 (which I'd hoped to have had soon).  This has been a tough wait, but I know it'll be well worth it.

In short, I apologize to everyone, but please don't go around telling people what they should do with their Primas.
