Re: Demo Test Drive Report

The NY Alfa Romeo Club has a bunch of test drives set up for sunday morning after our club breakfast. Some of the guys in the club are.... "quite large" but not tall if you know what I'm saying. So, it will be interesting to get their opinion of this new Italian car. (yes, I know built in Mexico and Detroit, but design is everything - robots to the rest) I'll be posting photos and video Sunday evening.

Good to know about the redline rpm. Having driven manuals all my life, I am weary of such a dramatic downshift (ie. 5th to 3rd) at highway speed (65-70mph). My point was that this car will not win any speed records (but few speeding tickets too!)
At 65-70 mph I often downshift from 6th to 3rd to make a pass, and it doesn't bother me any.

Dundee is not in the metropolitan Detroit area, but I agree with your point that it is still an Italian car.
