Yes, I know. "Manumatic" refers to a traditional torque converter automatic with a manual shift function.

Now this may not be the automatic they stay with for the long haul, but it does have the sport shift and uses a gated shifter and is a pretty decent shifter from all accounts of it so far, other than it reduces mileage somewhat, which may be due to the gear ratios but can't say for sure though.


On my second run, I drove an automatic around San Diego traffic.  Didn't get enough time in it, but moving out from a light, I could stay out in front of traffic.  I used sport mode, regular mode and shifted it myself.  Needed more time to get used to shifting it manually (was that forward or back for an upshift?).  I got stuck in heavy traffic and it was good, so I guess it passed the test.  I do prefer the manual, though. The engine seems better suited for it.
