Well:
A) the emails are coming faster :) so that is good B) still nothing on the dashboard or about delivery or payments. Gavin |

per SJMST at other email thread:
"Stay tuned for more product overviews while your vehicle is being created. By the time it arrives, you'll know it inside and out." This is not good...sounds like we will be getting weeks of "product overviews"... I agree that it does sound like we still have a bit of a wait. Gavin |
Yep, so far we've seen pictures of the seats, the body shell and now a video of the "visible engine block". By the time it arrives we may well have seen a picture of each and every part (well maybe not the notorious secret bezel) and most certainly know it inside and out, if we have not died of old age.

We've known that for days. Meet the engine my butt, it's time to meet our cars.
OR, MAYBE, MEET THE DEALER!!!! Not a word from the Dealer. Is this that special experience Fiat wanted for us? This blows. |

I actually don't think they're going to introduce the car bit by bit, and make us wait several months just for kicks. I think they are merely responding to an increasing demand of information by, well, us.
I've heard from pretty much every source (online, dealers, FIAT) that the cars will begin to be ready as early as next week. Yes, we have been waiting for a while. Yes there are MANY questions still unanswered. We can see this as yet another way FIAT is trying to stall, until they can tell us something more specific. Or we can take these emails as a sign that they want us to be engaged while they get the cars to us. AS I TYPE THIS, dealers from all around the country are getting trained in LA. The cars are being assembled in Tolouca. Reviews are coming out, and hype is being built. People are starting to test drive the cars in a few markets. In other words, the brand is starting to launch. This is no easy feat. I, like many others, want my car ASAP. I actually need it before my current car explodes, or breaks down (again). I am a bit frustrated, and even considered dropping my reservation for a MINI. However, I trust that FIAT is doing everything to make sure that there's nothing wrong with these cars, and that they are delivered to us as soon as possible. So I'm going to look at this email in a positive light. These are great cars, and I'm confident that we'll have them before the April 30th deadline. I might be wrong, but I'm tired of being impatient.

eh, I would like some more info on dealers, delivery and payment...and such...
but waiting for the Aptera for over 2 years has taught me to be patient... plus I have no reason to rush...no car about to die or any of that. so whenever is kinda fine with me personally.... but if it is delayed too long I would just keep waiting for the EV version...but I don't see much of a delay happening. the cars are being made...i assume some PE will be in driveways one way or the other before Feb is over. You have a point.
I can't wait for the video about the new glovebox. I just hope I don't have to wait too long for the tire pressure monitor video, I'm sure I'll pee my pants. |
What, you aren't stoked for next week's bulletin? "You and your valve stem caps?" Wait this just in! "Washing Your Prima" <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Rbr0q2QSaMA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Are we getting frustrated Mike? I 'm right there with you, I thought it was going to be a group of pics of engines going in the cars, not what I already know from five months ago. I can't wait for the tutorial for the horn.

I just got an email from one of the local dealer's reps. He is in LA this week for training and told me he would like to give our club a presentation at our next meeting.
So while it is not exactly about the status of our cars at least we know the staff is being trained. One more small step.

Thanks for the video. I'm sure Fiat can add that to the library.

LOL. Yeah, I'd be fine with the wait, but my car I am selling is starting to need repairs. I hate having to put lots of money into that I won't get back..
